Poinsettia

Last Christmas my daughter-in-law gave me the most gorgeous Poinsettia  plant.

I can still visualize her walking through the door,handing it to me and and saying "I got you something!"

It was absolutely beautiful, and stayed that way clear through till spring!

I put it in a bigger pot, and left it outside for the summer where it really flourished!

For the past few weeks I've been keeping it in a total dark closet for 14 hours and then letting it have sunlight during the day.  This is so it will get the brilliant red color bracts in time for Christmas.

I'm sure this year it will be just as beautiful as it was last year just bigger!
